Our church-wide Lenten study this year was When God’s People Pray by Jim Cymbala, pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle. As a followup to the study, a group from FPC:E and New Life Ministries took a bus trip to NYC on April 19 to visit the Brooklyn Tabernacle for their Tuesday evening prayer service. It was an inspiring evening of worship and intercessory prayer.
We feel that God is calling us to a deeper understanding and practice of prayer at FPC:E. As we are discerning how God is working in our prayer life, the service at Brooklyn Tabernacle was an exciting way to wrap up the Lenten study and provided a powerful example of an effective prayer ministry.
